A Ventura County Sheriff’s deputy is recovering from injuries he suffered when his patrol car was hit by another vehicle as he was responding to an emergency call.
It happened at about 8 this morning, at the intersection of Moorpark, and Olsen Roads in Thousand Oaks.
Department officials say the patrol car was headed through the intersection with its warning lights on when it was hit, and then the patrol car was involved in a collision with a third vehicle.
The deputy was taken to a hospital, but later released after treatment for what were described as minor injures.
No one else was hurt.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
