Two men are facing charges following a road rage incident in Santa Barbara County which led to an intentional traffic collision.

It happened on the southbound 101 in Montecito around 1 p.m. yesterday.  The CHP says one pickup truck was tailgating a slower moving pickup truck on the freeway.  The trucks pulled even with each other, with the drivers yelling at each other.  Officers say driver Ryan Luna of Simi Valley then threw a large  soft drink through the open window of the other truck, striking a passenger in the face.  The CHP says the other driver, Joseph Antonucci, then retaliated by ramming the right side of his truck into Luna’s truck.

Luna almost crashed as he swerved, and got off the freeway, ending the confrontation.  A CHP commander who happened to be on the 101 at the time, and witnessed the whole thing stopped one of the men, while a second officer stopped the second driver.
