Author Of New York Times Bestseller About America’s Biggest Wildfire, Which Helped Prompt Conservation Efforts, To Speak In Santa Barbara

It was the biggest inferno America had ever seen…

a monster wildfire which blackened three million acres of land, killing nearly a hundred people.

It also became a catalyst for the country’s conservation efforts, and its fledgling forest service.

A Pulitzer Prize winning reporter has written a bestseller about the fire, called “The Big Burn.”

KCLU’s Lance Orozco talks to Timothy Egan, who will speak in Santa Barbara this week as part of a community reading program involving his book.
