A Santa Barbara County man was arrested after authorities say he went on a tire slashing spree, damaging 11 vehicles, including six post office delivery trucks.

A passerby called the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department at about 12:45 this morning, after seeing a man vandalizing vehicles on the 400 block of Alisal Road in Solvang.

Deputies say they found Dakota Serge hiding behind some of the vehicles.

They say in addition to the vandalism, they found the 23 year old Solvang man had several flags in his pocket which had been cut down, and stolen from nearby businesses.

Serge was arrested for vandalism, petty theft and public intoxication.
