Spring is just around the corner, but the Central and South Coast may finally get some substantial winter rainfall.
The first of two storm systems is predicted to arrive in San Luis Obispo County Wednesday afternoon. It could mean up to three quarters of an inch of rain north of Point Conception, but not much is expected to make it into southern Santa Barbara County, and Ventura County.
But, what is expected to be the most powerful storm of the season is forecast to move into the region Friday. It could drop one to two inches of rain in coastal, and inland regions, and up to four inches in the mountains before clearing late Saturday.
The snow level will drop to around 5000 feet next weekend, with significant snowfall expected.
