Veterans Counseling Services In Ventura County Overwhelmed, But At Congressional Hearing, VA Says Its Working To Fix Problem

Some Ventura County veterans say they’re being forced to wait weeks to get counseling services.

Others are going to Los Angeles because the local VA clinic is overwhelmed.

That was the gist of the testimony at a congressional hearing in Ventura County yesterday, which looked at VA services in the County.

KCLU’s Lance Orozco reports local agencies say there are problems, and the VA concedes there are issues, which it says it’s trying to fix.
