Wind Brings Increased Brush Fire Danger To Central Coast

A storm system passing north of the Central Coast could create some strong northwest winds, and an increased fire danger.

Gusts to 60 miles an hour are possible, and humidity has dropped to unusually low levels for this time of year.

The Santa Barbara County Fire Department says as a precaution, it’s beefed up staffing, putting more engines and firefighters on duty.

The fire threat is expected to ease tomorrow morning, but we could see higher than average temperatures through the weekend.
