Air quality is an issue on the Central Coast today, due to wind.
The Santa Barbara County Air Pollution Control District issued an air quality watch for the northern part of the county. The concern is that dry conditions, and wind may result in elevated dust particles, especially in the Santa Maria area.
People are being urged to avoid outdoor activity when there are high concentrations of dust, or particles in the air. People with heart, or lung disease, older adults, and children are being urged to limit time spent outdoors today.
