In the last week, there’s been a swarm of earthquakes off the South Coast.
Five quakes have occurred in the Santa Barbara Channel since last Tuesday, with magnitudes up to 3.1.
While none of the quakes have caused damage, or injuries, they highlight the fact that there are some active, potentially dangerous faults in the region.
KCLU’s Lance Orozco talks with a UC Santa Barbara researcher about the quake swarm, and the potential for something bigger from the faults.
