Central Coast Man Found Guilty Of Voluntary Manslaughter In New Mexico

Posted on Friday, January 31, 2014 2:10pm

A Central Coast man on a road trip has been convicted of voluntary manslaughter in the stabbing death of his traveling companion.

Chip Fox of San Luis Obispo could face more than nine years in prison when he’s sentenced for the August, 2012 killing of Kevin Reardon.

Prosecutors say the two men were staying at a relative’s home in Clovis, New Mexico, and were high on aerosol dust when an argument led to the stabbing.

The 37 year old man was also found guilty of a charge that he tried to tamper with evidence.
