An invasion of highly invasive, non-native fresh water mussels which can clog pipes, and water pumping equipment is causing big problems in Ventura County.
The discovery of quagga mussels in Lake Piru has a water agency scrambling to try to figure out how to manage the infestation.
Meanwhile, another water agency worried its lake might become infected next is calling on the state to quarantine releases from the contaminated lake.
