A school district superintendent in San Luis Obispo County has announced his intention to run for the soon to be vacant County Schools Superintendent post.
Yesterday, San Luis Obispo County Superintendent of Schools Julian Crocker announced that he wouldn’t seek re-election this year, and will retire in January after 16 years in the post.
Cayucos Elementary School District Superintendent James Brescia says he’s running for the post. Brescia has been a teacher, and worked as an elementary, middle, and high school principal. He’s worked as an educator for 28 years. In addition to serving as principal of the Cayucos district, Brescia is also a faculty member at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
