This week marks the 20th anniversary of one of Southern California’s biggest natural disasters.
At 4:31 on January 17th, 2004. the magnitude 6.7 Northridge earthquake struck the region, causing 57 deaths, and massive damage.
In Ventura County, the quake caused injuries, and damage in several communities, but Fillmore was hit hardest.
KCLU’s Lance Orozco reports from Fillmore this morning, where he talks with some community leaders who vividly remember that day, and its aftermath.
