Documentary About Blacklisted Screenwriter To Be Screened As Fundraiser For Ventura County Arts Group

He wrote the screenplays for some of Hollywood’s most acclaimed films, like “Spartacus” and “Exodus.”

But, Dalton Trumbo got caught up in the anti-communist hysteria in the 1940’s and 50’s, and was jailed, and placed on Hollywood’s “Blacklist.”

This weekend, a documentary about Trumbo’s life will be shown as a fundraiser for a Ventura County arts group.

KCLU’s Lance Orozco talks to its director, who will be on hand for the event in Ojai.
