Her contract as Santa Barbara County’s CEO didn’t get renewed over the summer, but the former local government executive is in the running to become the next City Manager for Dallas, Texas.
The Dallas Morning News is reporting that Chandra Wallar is one of six finalists for the position.
Wallar served as Santa Barbara County’s top non-elected official for three years.
Earlier this year, she was a finalist to become Orange County’s CEO, but wasn’t able to reach a contract agreement with the Southern California county.
In April, Santa Barbara County Supervisors announced they wouldn’t renew Wallar’s contract, but never gave a reason.
The Dallas newspaper is reporting that three of the finalists for the city manager’s post will be interviewed this Wednesday, and that Wallar, and the other two candidates will be interviewed next Monday.
