A judge has ruled that a Central Coast woman charged with killing her mother is not guilty, by reason of insanity.
Prosecutors say Sunni Jackson murdered her mother in April of 2012.
Earline Grove had been beaten, and stabbed to death.
Jackson had a history of mental health issues, and both prosecution and defense experts who examined the 38 year old woman agreed she was legally insane at the time of the killing.
She’ll now be confined in a state mental institution, where she will remain until a judge rules otherwise.
