Warming Centers Being Opened For Homeless In Santa Barbara County

With a drop in temperatures, and rain in the forecast for the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend, Santa Barbara County has announced three warming centers for the homeless are opening.

One will be set up in the North County, and two in the South County.

The one in Northern Santa Barbara County is at the Newlove Community Center, in Santa Maria.

In Southern Santa Barbara County, centers will be open at First Presbyterian Church, in Santa Barbara, and St. Michaels University Religious Center, in Isla Vista.

As of now, what are being called the Freedom Warming Centers will be open Thursday, and Friday nights.
