Two Arrested, 10 Children In Child Protective Custody In Oxnard After Couple Accused Of Forcing Teen Into Prostitution

Posted on Monday, November 18, 2013 2:53pm

A Ventura County Couple has been arrested, and ten children at their home taken into custody after police say a teen held at that location had been forced into prostitution.

Oxnard Police say they went to the 100 block of East Harrison Saturday, after receiving a report a teen was being held against her will, and being forced to commit sex acts.

Officers say they found the teen at the house, along with 34 year old Roland Navaratte Ramirez, and 23 year old Graciela Vasquez.  They say they determined Ramirez had forced the 15 year old girl to perform sexual acts on several older men, and to also have sex with him.

The two were arrested on multiple charges, including contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and inducing a child to commit a lewd act.

10 children living in the home between the ages of five months, and 13 years old were taken into child protective custody.

Detectives say they are still trying to determine the role of a third adult female living in the home.
