Work to widen a busy highway bridge on the Central Coast means part of it will be closed overnight, causing some backups near the Santa Barbara-San Luis Obispo County line.
Caltrans crews will be working on the Highway 101 Santa Maria River bridges overnight.
The slow lane of the highway in both directions will be closed in the bridges area from 10 tonight, until 4 tomorrow morning.
Crews will be doing pavement testing.
The nearly $35 million dollar project to widen the bridge from two to three lanes in each directions is expected to be done by the end of this year.
