Nearly 300,000 people a year in the United States are the victims of sudden cardiac arrest, and when it happens outside of hospitals, less than 10 percent of them survive.
CPR can make the difference.
There’s a new form of CPR, known as hands only, or sidewalk CPR, which can be taught in five minutes, but can mean the difference between life, and death.
KCLU’s Lance Orozco reports a countywide campaign is underway in Ventura County to teach everyone CPR.
