Posted on Sunday, November 3, 2013 10:30pm

No major incidents were reported, but Isla Vista’s annual unsponsored, unplanned Halloween celebration still led to hundreds of arrests, and citations.

With tens of thousands of people headed into the community for parties on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights, preliminary numbers show that 225 people were arrested on various charges, with more than 200 others cited.

48 people needed medical treatment, with 42 transported to local hospitals for problems like alcohol poisoning.

The numbers are in the same ballpark as last year, when about 200 were arrested and 249 cited.
