A Ventura County man has been sentenced to death for the 2008 ambush slaying of an Oxnard businessman.
A judge agreed with a jury recommendation for the death penalty for Jeffrey Aguilar.
The 27 year old Oxnard man was convicted of first degree murder, and other charges for shooting to death, and robbing Gurmohinder Singh.
Prosecutors say Aguilar knew Singh was going to be leaving an Oxnard bank with a large amount of cash, so he shot, and robbed him.
Four others were arrested for the killing, with two of them convicted, and two others still waiting for trial.
