An event designed to help Central Coast veterans dealing with issues like homelessness, and addiction is set to take place this weekend.
The Santa Barbara County Veterans Stand Down 2013 will happen tomorrow, at the Santa Maria Fairpark.
There will be health, legal, and social services groups on hand, to offer assistance to veterans, as well as their legal spouses, and dependents under the age of 18.
The second annual event was organized by Santa Barbara County Supervisor Steve Lavaganino, and is similar to a stand down event which has been taking place in Ventura County for decades.
It will take place from 9 a.m., to 3 p.m. at the Fairpark tomorrow.
Among the offerings for veterans will be free haircuts, clothing, and a barbeque lunch.
