Man Arrested For Burglarizing Ventura County Store Where Authorities Say He Was Living

Posted on Friday, October 18, 2013 8:42am

Authorities say a burglary in Ventura County may have been a true inside job, with the man actually living in the Simi Valley store  he robbed.

Simi Valley Police were called to the Pavillion’s supermarket on the 2900 block of Tapo Canyon Road around 10 last night, by reports of a possible burglary.  Officers spotted Tristan Odegard-Brown nearby, and noticed he had remnants of drywall, and ceiling tile on his clothes.

Officers investigating further found a hole in the pharmacy’s ceiling.  They say evidence found at the scene showed the 21 year old transient had been living for a short while on top of some refrigeration units in the store, located at the rear of the pharmacy.

Odegard-Brown was arrested on burglary, possession of drug paraphernalia, and being under the influence charges.
