A man being transferred to a Ventura County jail facility is back in custody, after he escaped last night, and was the focus of a 12 hour long search.
Raynel Rios was being delivered to the county’s Todd Road jail around 5 last night when he managed to get out of the vehicle, and slip away on foot. A perimeter was quickly set up, and a helicopter, K-9′s, and a bloodhound were used to look for the 33 year old Thousand Oaks man.
He was arrested at around 5 a.m., on the jail’s grounds near the entrance to the facility. Authorities say Rios was in custody for possession of a counterfeit driver’s license, and on an immigration hold.
