Sections Of 30 Streets To Undergo Maintenance In Santa Maria During Next Two Weeks

Posted on Monday, October 14, 2013 12:49am

Construction crews are going to be busy in one Central Coast city for the next two weeks, applying more than 150,000 square yards of chip seal to repair some 22 lane miles of roadway.

About 30 segments of streets in the Santa Maria will be repaired as a result of the $400,000 project.

Streets will be posted, and closed on certain days during the next two weeks by the work.

People are being urged to avoid driving on streets where the work is occurring, because the resurfacing materials can damage vehicles immediately after it’s applied, and during the next few hours while it sets.
