Gas Line Break Which Caused Evacuations In Downtown San Luis Obispo Repaired

The accidental rupture of a gas line in downtown San Luis Obispo which led to some businesses being closed, and some evacuations has been repaired.

The break occurred around 1:30 p.m., near Marsh and Nipomo Streets.  Authorities say a backhoe accidently ruptured a gas line, leading to the closure of several blocks to traffic.

The line was repaired a little after four, but some crews were still on the scene an hour later.
