Local Television Station Dropped From Satellite TV Service Because Of Dispute Over Compensation Fees

Posted on Thursday, October 10, 2013 2:37pm

A contract dispute means thousands of television viewers in the Tri-Counties with satellite TV service can no longer see one of the region’s primary television stations.

DIRECTV has dropped KEYT, the Santa Barbara based ABC television station which serves Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties, as well as western Ventura County.

The dispute is over the compensation the satellite television service pays Channel 3 for the rights to carry the station.  The Station was dropped from DIRECTV’s LINEUP yesterday.
