A plan intended to help protect some rare monarch butterfly habitat on the South Coast is ready for public review.
The City of Goleta has prepared its Monarch Butterfly Inventory and Habitat Management Plan.
The goal is to identify low key steps which can be taken to improve the long term success of the butterfly’s habitat.
A workshop to review the plan will take place at 6 p.m. Thursday, at Goleta City Hall.
The monarchs use the Ellwood Mesa area has part of the migratory process.
