Posted on Friday, September 20, 2013 3:59pm

Santa Barbara’s historic courthouse is going to be seen in a different light tomorrow night, as part of an effort to raise awareness about Alzheimer’s Disease.

The lighting will be changed so the courthouse will look purple for the night.

An estimated five million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s Disease, and some researchers believe by 2050, that number will reach 16 million.  September 21st is Alzheimer’s Action Day, and people are urged to wear purple to help call attention to the day.
