Santa Barbara Airport officials are trying to figure out what led to a runway light outage over the weekend which resulted in flights being diverted, and cancelled.
The outage occurred just after 7:30 Saturday night.
The airport notified airlines, and general aviation aircraft about the problem. Incoming commercial airline flights from San Francisco, and Denver were diverted to other airports, and a scheduled Saturday night from Santa Barbara, to Portland was cancelled.
The runway lights were back online about 90 minutes after the outage was first reported.
