A new shopping center on the South Coast has donated $5,000 to Ventura County’s arts community.

The Collection at Riverpark used money raised through a series of summer concerts to help the Ventura County Arts Council.

The 650,000 square foot center off the 101 Freeway in Oxnard has been opening a number of new upscale stores and restaurants this year, including a Whole Foods supermarket, and a Yard House restaurant.

The non-profit Arts Council acts as a clearinghouse to support artists, and arts events in the county, as well as arts education.
