Two Arrested In Gang Related Stabbing In Santa Barbara Which Also Injured Toddler

Two young men are behind bars, following the stabbing of a teenager, and a car chase which left a toddler injured in Santa Barbara.

It happened just before 8 last night, on the city’s Westside.  A 17 year old boy was stabbed near the Westside Boys and Girls Club.  The suspects fled in a car, but officers spotted the vehicle on the 300 block of Ladera Street.  When the getaway car pulled into a driveway, it struck a little boy.  The suspects fled on foot.  Two were immediately caught, while others are still being sought.

The stabbing victim is expected to survive.

The young boy hit in the driveway escaped with only minor injuries.

Police say the incident was gang related.
