As support from shrinking congregations impacts churches, funding for seminaries to educate the next generation of religious leaders is dropping.
A Northern California based Lutheran seminary facing that problem is coping with the situation by merging into a Ventura County based university.
KCLU’s Lance Orozco reports the deal with give the Bay Area based seminary more resources, and the private Ventura County university more prestige, and a new campus.
