Authorities discovered an abandoned boat believed to have been used for drug smuggling on a Santa Barbara County beach.

A 30 foot long panga boat was found at about 6:30 yesterday morning on Tajiguas Beach.

Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s deputies say there was evidence the boat had been used for drug smuggling, but no one was found at the scene.

It’s the fourth panga boat discovered in the Refugio State Beach area of Santa Barbara County in the last few months.
