The largest community celebration on the South Coast officially kicks off its five day run tonight, as Santa Barbara celebrates its heritage:
Old Spanish Days officially starts at 8 tonight, with “La Fiesta Pequena” at the Santa Barbara Mission.
It’s a free show on the steps of the mission filled with music, and dance.
Between five and ten thousand people are expected to camp out on the lawn in front of the Mission for the entertainment.
Tomorrow night, the first of three nights of entertainment will take place at the Santa Barbara County Courthouse’s Sunken Gardens.
Other Fiesta highlights include the Historical Parade, in downtown Santa Barbara beginning at noon on Friday, and the Children’s Parade, which features hundreds of costumed kids, starting at 10 a.m. Saturday.
