A fugitive believed to be armed, and dangerous has been arrested in Santa Barbara County.
County Sheriff’s deputies say Arturo Renteria is a documented gang member who disappeared while on parole. Authorities received information that the 33 year old Santa Maria man was at a mobile home park in Buellton .
Deputies aided by a SWAT team, and members of some other law enforcement agency evacuated part of the park early yesterday morning. They surrounded the mobile home he was in with his girlfriend, and about 15 minutes after he was ordered to come outside, he peacefully surrendered. He was arrested on four charges, including being a felon in possession of a weapon. Because of his parole violation, he is being held without the possibility of bail.
His girlfriend was arrested for a parole violation.
