Posted on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 2:57pm

Officials are zeroing in on a name for a new high school planned in Ventura County.

Oxnard High School District trustees have narrowed down the list of possibilities to three for a new campus in Camarillo, which is planned for opening in 2015 in an area just north of the Camarillo Library.

The possibilities include Rancho Campana High School, Adelante High School, and Camarillo Arts And Sciences Academy.

The new campus is intended to have a focus on the arts, and sciences.

It will start out with around 700 students, but could be expanded.

The City of Camarillo, and the Local Agency Formation Commission still have to sign off on the project.

The school district already has approved bond money to build the campus.
