There are some new commanders for some law enforcement agencies on the South Coast, due to some internal juggling by the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department.
The Sheriff’s Department has named Lt. Brad McVay as the new Carpinteria Police Chief. He’s also responsible for all unincorporated parts of the county south of the City of Santa Barbara.
And, Lt. Rob Plastino is now in charge of the Isla Vista Foot Patrol.
The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department has contracts to provide law enforcement services to some incorporated cities in the county, as well as serving the unincorporated areas of the county.
