Posted on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 12:44am

The 2013 Mid-State Fair features such of the biggest names in modern entertainment, like Matchbox Twenty, and the Goo Goo Dolls, but when it opens today, it will feature an old tradition.

The Fair will have its annual cattle drive through the streets of Paso Robles.

There will be about 50 head of cattle for the event, which will start at the corner of Highway 46 East, and Golden Hill Road at around 10 a.m.

The cattle will then be herded to the Paso Robles Event Center, arriving about a half hour before the fairgrounds opens to the public at noon.
