Some Water Customers In Ventura County Being Advised To Boil Drinking Water Following Pipe Break

Posted on Thursday, July 11, 2013 12:10am

Hundreds of water customers in the Ojai area are still being advised to boil their water, in the wake of a water main break.

The break was discovered Monday night, and was repaired by early morning yesterday.  But, Golden State Water Company officials are urging their water customers north of Grand Avenue to boil tap water intended for drinking purposes today.

Company officials say the water main break occurred as workers were trying to connect a new pipeline to the water system.  It’s expected the system will be cleared of possible bacteria tomorrow.
