Part of a South Coast beach has literally washed away, and the ocean is now threatening a sidewalk, and a heavily used street.
Emergency work is now underway to protect the threatened infrastructure in Port Hueneme.
Huge boulders are being used to try to protect the threatened sidewalk and roadway, at the same time city officials are trying to get state and federal help for long term solutions.
