Rainfall Season On Central Coast Ends Way Below Average

The 2012-2013 rainfall season officially ended June 30th, and the numbers for the Central Coast are way below average.

Santa Maria had 6.2 inches of rain, which is only about 45% of normal.  Lompoc had 7.2 inches of rain, which is 49% of average, and the Santa Ynez Valley reported 6.9% of rain, which is also about 49% of what can normally be expected.

The last five months were among the driest on record for the region.
