Posted on Monday, July 1, 2013 12:22am

Plans for memorial services for a San Luis Obispo County supervisor who died of a heart attack have been announced.

Paul Teixeira died last Wednesday.  The 57 year old Nipomo resident was elected to the board in 2010, and was Chairman of the Board.

Plans call for a memorial mass St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in Nipomo at 11 a.m. Wednesday.  It will be followed by a private graveside service.

There will be a public memorial celebration at the Madonna Expo Center, in San Luis Obispo beginning sometime between 12:30, and 1 p.m. Wednesday.

The governor’s office has been notified of the situation, with state law calling for the governor to appoint someone to fill the remainder of the supervisor’s term, which runs until next summer.
