Authorities say two people were killed in the crash of a light plane in Ventura County.
The plane went down in an agricultural field at the intersection of Wooley Road, and Victoria Avenue just after noon on Saturday. The plane burned on impact.
Oxnard Police say they found two bodies in the wreckage of the plane. No one on the ground was hurt. The names of the victims haven’t been released yet.
The plane had just taken off from Oxnard Airport, and was less than two miles from the airport when it crashed. The National Transportation Safety Board, and the Federal Aviation Administration are handling the investigation of the crash.
