The remains of a plane which crashed just after takeoff in San Luis Obispo, killing the aircraft’s pilot, are now in Palmdale where they will be inspected by federal investigators.
The plane had some type of a problem just after lifting off at about 1 p.m. Monday, hitting a power line, a delivery truck, and a building, starting a fire.
The pilot was pronounced dead at the scene. His name hasn’t been released, pending an autopsy.
No one on the ground was hurt.
