A former high school teacher in Ventura County received a jail sentence after entering a guilty plea for robbing a store with a knife.

David Considine held up a 7-11 in Simi Valley in September 2011.  His attorney says the former Simi Valley High School science teacher had a substance abuse problem, and was unaware of his actions.

In addition to the jail time, the 49 year old man was put on four years probation.
