Final Push On For Solstice Celebration In Santa Barbara

Posted on Thursday, June 20, 2013 2:08pm

It’s coming down to the wire for the hundreds of people building floats, and costumes for this year’s annual Summer Solstice Parade in Santa Barbara.

The annual parade features wildly creative themes, and characters created by artists, and members of the community.  The annual event is expected to feature around a thousand people in the parade, and around 100,000 spectators, as the community celebrates the start of summer.

The parade starts at noon on Saturday and State and Sola Streets in downtown Santa Barbara, and ends in Alameda park, where the Summer Solstice Festival takes place all weekend long.
