Some area of the Los Padres National Forest in Santa Barbara County closed by a Memorial Day brush fire have reopned.
The Forest Service has kept Paradise Road, in the Santa Ynez Valley closed for the last few weeks while crews removed debris. The road leads to popular recreation areas like the Upper Oso, and Red Rock campgrounds.
Forest Sevice officials warn people going into the area that due to the loss of vegetation to the fire, they should watch for rocks which may roll onto roads. Officials are reminding visitors campfires are banned outside of campground areas.
Embers from a fire in an approved fire area were determined to be the cause of the approximately 2000 acre White Fire, which forced thousands of campers to flee last month.
