Man Arrested For Bomb Threat To Conejo Valley Store

Posted on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 10:37pm

A man has been arrested on a charge he made a bomb threat to a Conejo Valley store.

Ventura County Sheriff’s Department officials say a May 28th threat called into the Burlington Coat Factor, in the Janss Marketplace in Thousand Oaks led to a major search by deputies, and store employees.  No device was found.

Detectives traced the call to a telephone, saying its owner had unsuccessfully taken steps to try to prevent the number from being tracked.  They arrested Brandon Wimsatt of Thousand Oaks yesterday for the incident.  The 23 year old man is accused of falsely reporting a bomb to a business.
